Without mentioning Arvind Kejriwal’s name, Union Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said that people want evidence of the surgical strikes and they would never accept the truth even if we provide them with concrete proof.
Whosoever raise doubt, but one need to understand that the integrity and courage of the Indian Army was unquestionable, said Parikar, who was in Ahmedabad to attend a function 'Know your Army’ at a sprawling campus of Nirma University.
He said the surgical strikes had achieved two important things - .the country has become sensitive to national security and secondly the entire nation has united behind the army. The defence minister said some ex-servicemen have even offered their services by sending emails to him, "such is the high morale of the men in uniform."
In his key-note address to students and teachers there, the minister gave credit to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), saying that he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are inspired by RSS ideology and it helped them to adopt tough posture on terrorist launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) through surgical strikes.
He further said that he and Modi both were criticized and targeted in social media after the Uri attack in which 18 jawans were killed until Indian Army conducted surgical strikes. However the teachings of RSS were at the back of the mind of both them while ordering the surgical strike on the terrorists' launching pads, he added.
Meanwhile, answering a question on fencing Indo-Pak border, Parikar said that because of the marshy land there a complete fencing was not possible, but Indian army was doing its job perfectly and using latest technology to intensify vigil.
