Inspired by AAP, Bahuguna holds public meet

Taking cue from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has made history by winning 28 seats in the Delhi Assembly election-2013 by mingling with common man, State Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna tried to establish direct connection with the masses by organising Janta Milan (public meeting) at his residence on Sunday.

Despite inclement weather, people started gathering outside the Chief Minister’s residence from morning with a hope to discuss their problem and getting solution with the Chief Minister.

Bahuguna met around 800 people and received their petitions as well. While talking to media persons, who had gathered to cover it, the CM said that he tried his best to provide relief to them and now he would ask chief secretary to instruct all district magistrates to hold such meeting in their district at least once in a week.

Replying to a question that the minister-in-charge of the district is not visiting to their concerned district, CM said that he would ask his cabinet colleague to visit their district on regular basis.

Here people came from Pauri, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital and Udhamsinghnagar.

Following on their request CM solved few problems on the spot and collected petion from everyone personally.
