Over 7,800 PILs filed in HCs since 2019
New Delhi: Over 7,800 PILs regarding the violation of fundamental rights have been filed in various high courts across the country since 2019, according to data shared by the Government in the Rajya Sabha.While some high courts have not maintained a separate record of such PILs, data of some other HCs was available without a year-wise breakup.

New Delhi: Five-time Paralympian shooter Naresh Kumar Sharma has moved the Supreme Court challenging an order of the Delhi High Court which had posted his plea relating to his non-selection for the upcoming Tokyo games for hearing on August 6. He said that the last date of selection for shooting in Tokyo Paralympic is August 2 and if the matter is heard on August 6, it would make the plea infructuous.
