Rape spree continues unabated in Uttar Pradesh, where an infant was raped by a 45-year-old man in Bulandshahr district, evoking furore among the public as well as the Opposition parties leaders.
The horrifying sexual assault took place in Pahasu area of Bulandshahr district late Thursday night, when a 13-month-old child was raped by a middle-aged man. Superintendent of Police (rural) Vijay Gautam said here on Friday that accused Gyan Singh, a native of Aligarh, has been arrested and sent to jail.
The victim girl, had come in a marriage function from Chiji village in Gautam Buddha Nagar district, when the man raped the minor founding her alone. The victim has been admitted to Meerut Medical College, where she was stated critical.
Gyan Singh, who had also come to attend the marriage, has admitted the crime before the mediapersons.
