“India is standing at the cusp of change. It is the commitment of Modi to transform the country by 2022. Now, the nation is plagued with various problems ranging from Kashmir conflict to poverty, where one was working hard to get two square meals a day. Things will change and by 2022 there will be no Kashmir issue and India will once again be the proverbial sone ki chidiya,” Singh said as the audience clapped in approval.

The Union Minister said the Prime Minister has taken a “sankalp” (pledge) to make India stronger and the dream must be translated into reality. “The manifestation of that dream will see the end of terrorism and extremist activities. That will be the sidhi (realisation) of that pledge,” he said.
