India seeks Consular Access to ex-navy man

Published on:

India has once again sought consular access to retired Indian Navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav while rejecting allegations that he is a RAW spy. Pakistani media reports claimed Islamabad has written to the Indian government seeking more details about the Jadhav as it prepares dossier to register an FIR against him. Sources said Indian government has on several occasions completely rejected the baseless allegations against Jadhav. “Circumstances of his presence in Pakistan remain unclear, particularly because we have not been provided Consular Access despite our repeated requests. We expect the Government of Pakistan to follow well-established international practice in this regard and ensure his well-being while he is in its custody,” sources added.
