Incorporate health in school curriculum, says Akhilesh

Highlighting the role of education in spreading the message of good health, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that if some vital information about health could be incorporated in school curriculum it could transform the society.“It is important for healthy society that people should be aware about the diseases and its causes. If a man knows how he can combat disease he can live a health life. This in turn will benefit the society,” Yadav said in a function organised to re-launch a book Hum Aur Hamara Swasthya compiled by Hope Initiative, an NGO, here on Sunday.

“Government has included this book in the curriculum of secondary school and has asked the Basic Education department to distribute this book in its schools for the teachers who could use important information of this book,” he said.Chief Minister said that the Government has decided to distribute the soft copy of the book free of cost.
