Bar bribe scam-accused Kerala Finance Minister KM Mani on Tuesday tried to put up a bold face by stating that he would not resign under Opposition pressure and that he himself would present the 2015-2016 State Budget despite the charge that he had been collecting bribe by “selling” budget proposals to interested sectors.
“There is a Finance Minister in Kerala now and that Finance Minister will present the Budget,” Mani told mediapersons. He said the allegations leveled against him were the result of a political conspiracy.
“There has been a political conspiracy… I know who all are behind it. I will expose them at the right time,” Mani said. Asked whether the conspiracy had been hatched by those who were within the Congress-led ruling UDF of which his Kerala Congress (B) was a constituent, Mani refused to give a clear reply.
