Even as he reiterated that he would not contest the forthcoming lok Sabha polls, NCP president Sharad Pawar on Friday made it clear that he would, however, not be retiring from politics.
“I have said that I will not contest (lok Sabha) elections. But, I am not retiring,” 73-year-old Pawar said at a news conference here.
Reacting to a query on Goa CM Manohar Parrikar’s assertion that politicians above 65 years should think in terms of hanging their boots, Pawar said, “In politics, it is the people who decide when a politician should retire”.
