Hyderabad: A sudden look at video showing electricity poles erected in the middle of a road, shared on social media platform X with the tagline “Hyderabad is not for beginners,” has sparked confusion among Hyderabadis, with many mistaking the location for a road in the city.

The viral video shows several electricity poles installed in the middle and along the sides of a road, which making difficulty for motorists to drive.

Sharing the video on X, a user sarcastically wrote, “Now you can play Subway Surfers on Hyderabad’s roads!” The video also carried the tagline “Hyderabad is not for beginners.”

However, the road featured in the video is not in Hyderabad, India, but in Hyderabad, Pakistan, located in Sindh province.

The X user's post also mentioned, “Watch our documentary on Sindh on Raftar’s YouTube channel,” indicating that the footage was from Pakistan.

Meanwhile, a few Hyderabadis from India also commented that the road with erected power transmission lines resembles the roads in many areas of the city.

One user commented that the road resembled one in Ayyappa Society, Madhapur, while another suggested that it was near Prajay Megapolis on the Hafeezpet-Kondapur stretch.

Other users claimed that the road looked similar to those in Pragathi Nagar in Kukatpally, near the Khajaguda signal, and in Masjid Banda.

The comments highlighted how the unusual placement of electricity poles on the road led several Hyderabadis to believe that the video had been filmed in their city.
