HIV-infused drug to cure AIDS!

In what can be described as a hopeful sign for AIDS patients, a team of scientists from Mumbai has claimed to have developed a homeopathic medicine sourced from the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) itself. The drug, developed by Rajesh Shah, has been tested on humans for safety and efficacy and the results are quite promising.

“This is only the beginning and larger studies with and without concomitant conventional Antiretroviral therapy (ART) can throw more light on the scope of this new medicine,” says the scientific paper published in the recent issue of the Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy (IJRH).

It is the official publication of the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH), an autonomous body under the Union Health Ministry.

“The study has shown that the blood count (CD4 cells) of HIV patients (22 participants) improved on administering the drug which is a positive and hopeful sign,” researcher Saurav Arora said adding that “this may encourage an advanced research into the subject.”

Homeopathy, long before the prevailing vaccines came into existence, had been sourcing medicines from all kinds of viruses and bacteria, including those from measles, diphtheria, influenza, syphilis, smallpox, gonorrhea, etc.

This category of medicines is called nosodes, in use since the last 140 years. “They may resemble vaccines, but as they are prepared according to Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia guidelines, they are absolutely safe when administered on homeopathic principals,” said  Arora.

The study on HIV and other research reports from Indian and foreign scientists in homeopathy sector will be presented at the two-day World Homeopathy Summit at Mumbai from April 11-12 to be organised by Global Homeopathy Foundation.

Shah, in a separate research has teamed up with noted virologist Abhay Chowdhury at the premier Haffkine Institute and developed a medicine sourced from TB germs of Multi Drug Resistant — TB patients.
