Defending the use of word ‘Hindu’ for Indians Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra said that Hinduism is way of life that transcends the barriers of religion, caste and creed.
“Hinduism does not define any religion. It is way of way of life and allows people to follow the religion of their choice,” Mishra said while talking to reporters here on Friday.
Mishra said the word Hindu is a symbol of culture and nationality. The Courts both High court and Supreme Curt have defined who is Hindu. It is wrong to see Hindu from the prism of religion.
“The Supreme Court in its different orders and directions too have admitted that the word Hindu is not a religion but a way of life. The judiciary have also admitted that Hindu is not a cult,” he said.
