A domestic servant ran away after robbing jewellery and cash from the house of the Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank. The incident took place at Anand Vihar in East Delhi.
The accused has been identified as Nazma (32) and was hired by PK Gupta, the DGM to look after his aged mother. As Gupta’s wife was also working, they hired domestic help to take care of the elderly women.
On the afternoon of July 10, the domestic servant locked the elderly woman from outside and fled with all the cash. The woman was reportedly sleeping at the time after her afternoon meal when the domestic help carried out the theft.
The incident came in front of Gupta when he returned home and saw that the door was locked from outside. When he broke the lock of the house and found the house to be ransacked.
When Gupta’s wife opened her almirah, she found that the jewellery and cash that she had kept in the safe was missing. Cash and jewellery that included diamond ornaments were missing. We registered a case in the matter and are investigating the case. Further investigations are underway.
