HCLTech and Rubrik to deliver multi-layered cybersecurity

With ransomware attacks and the cost to recover on the rise, preventative measures alone can’t guarantee business continuity. That’s why HCLTech, a leading global technology company, and Rubrik, the cybersecurity company, have launched HCLTech VaultNXT powered by Rubrik, designed to monitor and detect ransomware attacks.

Using Rubrik Security Cloud to secure data across enterprise, cloud, and SaaS environments, VaultNXT powered by Rubrik combines a series of overlapping and reinforcing security measures to facilitate cyber recovery and ensure data integrity.

"With rising cyberattacks and complex cloud environments, Indian enterprises must move beyond prevention alone and adopt a holistic 360°

cybersecurity strategy" said Ashish Gupta, Managing Director, India & Head of Engineering at Rubrik. "VaultNXT powered by Rubrik is built for this. With the Rubrik Security Cloud, our customers gain a unified interface that centralizes control and deep visibility across their entire data landscape.”

“With the prevalence and destruction of ransomware attacks, we understand that a strong cyber resilience strategy is essential,” said Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President and Global Business Head- Hybrid Cloud, Application Operations and Mainframe Services at HCLTech. “At HCLTech, combined with VaultNXT powered by Rubrik and our dynamic security framework with a full spectrum of technology services, we are able to provide a stringent recovery process and seamless protection for our joint customers against cyber threats and ransomware compromises.”

Key features of VaultNXT powered by Rubrik include immutable architecture to protect backups against malware and ransomware or cyberattacks, comprehensive and native

AI/ML-driven ransomware monitoring and investigation, sensitive data monitoring and threat hunting to determine IOCs (Indicators of Compromise), Turbo Threat Hunting to hunt down IOCs in  thousands of backups within minutes, threat containment to quarantine infected

snapshots and orchestrated and automated app & identity recovery.

Rubrik’s 2025 State of Data Security Report found that 90 percent of IT and security leaders reported a cyberattack against their organisation in the

past year.

In addition, the report found that the most common attack vectors were data breaches (30 percent) and malware on devices (29 percent). VaultNXT powered by Rubrik is designed to reduce sensitive data

exposure by identifying what types of data is present, where it lives, and who has access to it.

It also has robust security at the point of data and has built-in orchestration, which is pivotal during the recovery process.
