In the Hathras rape incident, the difficulties of Congress leader Sheoraj's Jeevan did not diminish. The process of voice matching has been done against him in the cases related to making provocative statements lodged against him in Gandhipark and Chandpa police stations of Hathras.
Both these cases are being investigated by the Bareilly unit of STF and the investigator called Sheoraj Jeevan to Lucknow and got sampling done in the Forensic Science Laboratory for voice matching. If there is a voice match in the sampling, then Sheoraj Jeevan can be arrested.
It may be recalled that Hathras was in the headlines not only in the country but around the world in September-2020.
There on 14 September 2020, a 19-year-old girl from the neglected section of the society was gang raped. Four upper caste youths allegedly carried out this heinous act and fled leaving her covered in blood in the field. The girl had serious injuries. After the incident, she was first treated at a hospital in Aligarh. Then when the condition started getting serious, she was taken to Delhi.
There, about 11 days after the incident, she died. Late in the evening the same day, the body was taken to her village. There the Uttar Pradesh Police and the administration forcibly cremated the body of the victim girl at 3.30 am.
After this, there was a long period of protests against the Yogi Adityanath government of the state. Many political leaders including Priyanka Gandhi visited to the victim's family.
In September 2020, two cases were registered against senior Congress leader Sheoraj Jeevan, a former member of the National Commission for cleanliness worker, standing with the victim's family since the first day in the rape and murder of a girl from Chandpa area of ??Hathras. In which one case was registered in Chandpa of Hathras and the other in Gandhipark of Aligarh. In Chandpa's trial, Sheoraj Jeevan was accused that in a viral video, Congress leader Sheoraj Jeevan, who reached the victim's house, is seen threatening to cut off the hands of the accused, remove the eyes, which created a situation like deteriorating the atmosphere.
The second case was registered at Gandhipark police station here, in which in a sting of a TV reporter, he is seen talking about a plan to riot in lieu of paying Rs 5-6 lakh. However, at that time, Sheoraj Jeevan himself called the then ADG Zone Ajay Anand and told the whole thing. At that time, when the Hathras police interrogated Sheoraj Jeevan in custody, it became clear that the reporter who did the sting had come to them as a young man named Amit. He talked about himself as part of a team plotting to overthrow the Yogi government. He tried to call the police but by then he was gone.
At that time, the investigation of both the cases was handed over to the STF on the instructions of the government in this case, which came in the headlines across the country. The crime number 154/2020 registered in Chandpa, section 153A, 505,506, 189 IPC and 84C IT Act 2020 and the offense number 477/2020 registered in Gandhipark, section 153A, 120B, 506 IPC cases were investigated by STS Bareilly unit inspector Ajaypal Singh.
Sheoraj was summoned to the State Forensic Science Laboratory in Lucknow after giving notice for matching the voice of Sheoraj Jeevan in the videos related to both the cases. During this, ACM II from Aligarh and STM from Hathras also went there, where the voice sample of Sheoraj Jeevan was taken. During this, Sheoraj Jeevan fully supported the investigator and the laboratory team. At the same time, he was told there in a gesture that if his voice matched then he could be arrested.
Under a scheme by the state government, a Valmiki MLA has been made a minister of state on one side to make the Valmiki community happy. On the other hand voice matching was being done by calling to Lucknow to implicate the leader of Valmiki Samaj, who raised his voice to get justice for the daughter of Hathras. People themselves have understood the difference between what the state government is saying. But the truth is never defeated.
Sheoraj Jeevan, Senior Congress leader said that I have been harassed by this government in this matter. I raised my voice to get justice for my daughter, I have not committed any sin. If people consider it a sin, then I will commit such a sin a thousand times for the honor of mother, sister and daughter. Even if I have to go to jail.
