In a significant statement Congress Lok Sabha Leader Adhir Chowdhury on Thursday said that
“Haryana Spirit” will form the basis of a Congress revival in India.
Chowdhury’s statement came hours after Haryana assembly pole results poured in showing improved performance of the tri-colour party.
The Behrampore Congress MP who also congratulated his party colleagues in Maharashtra—where the party in alliance with the NCP has done better than expected winning 99 seats--- said the BJP will now start horse-trading and muscle-flexing using the ED and CBI.
“There in Haryana special dhanteras (a shopping festival ahead of Diwali) will start in the form of purchasing MLAs so that BJP can form the Government” in that state he said adding those who will not fall in line will be arm-twisted by the central agencies.
Irrespective of all this “Haryana Spirit” will form the basis of Congress’s revival in future.
“Congress will definitely come back to power and Haryana Spirit will form it’s basis. The party workers through out the country will be enthused and descend on the streets with new inspiration,” he said.
