Ghaziabad's Sihani Gate Police Station on Friday became the first police station to provide free wi-fi access to all the visitors. The station has also been awarded with an ISO 9001 certification. launching the facility on Friday, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ghaziabad Dharmendra Yadav said that the facility will help provide urgent assistance to the visitors.

The police station has also transferred all of its administrative work online, and now the complaints will directly reach the SSP office.   The Ghaziabad Development Authority will incur all the expenditures of this facility. The police station also won an ISO certification 9001 for its quality documentation, systematic parking system, clean toilets, and citizen-friendly attitude.

As far as security is concerned, eight CCTV cameras have been installed in and around the station, including the lock-up, office, barracks armoury, archive room, etc. Further efforts are on to make the police station more citizen-friendly and transparent in its activities, said the SSP. I wish the other police stations of the district follow this example and improve their work culture. In the next phase, police stations bordering Delhi — like Indirapuram, link road, Sahibabad and loni — would also be equipped with the same facilities," he added.
