Reacting on the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi’s remarks that PM Modi’s dream project Statue of Unity, the tallest statue of the world was nothing but Chinese manufacturing, Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that Rahul’s 50 per cent blood is Italian. Patel went on to say that the statue being constructed near Sardar Sarovar dam is made in India and only five per cent material has been imported from China. Only 1,700 metric tonne bronze in it was imported from China, while there is 70,000 MT iron and 18,500 MT steel bought from within the country, he said adding that infact the Congress president is made in India and Italian blood is flowing in him. He alleged that Gandhi had insulted the people of Gujarat.
