A delegation of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Gujarat Governor regarding rising atrocities on Dalits in the country and recent judgment of Supreme Court diluting the provisions of arrest under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
The Congress delegation comprising newly appointed GPCC president Amit Chavda, leader of Opposition Paresh Dhanani, GPCC’s SC cell’s chief Naishad Solanki and other MlAs and office bearers.
