Govt took NiMo case seriously, says Shah

For the first time after Nirav Modi controversy broke out BJP president Amit Shah has said Government has taken it seriously and already seized Rs 5,000 crore. Addressing a Press conference on Tuesday at coastal town Suratkal near Mangaluru in Karnataka the BJP president said referring to the Opposition criticism of a photo of Nirav Modi with the Prime Minister at Davos meeting ‘it proves nothing’.

He said “photographs (Nirav Modi at Davos with the PM) prove nothing, even you people are sitting with me and if one of you commits a crime will you make me liable tooIJ As far as Nirav Modi is concerned the Centre has taken it seriously and already seized Rs 5000 crore assets.”

Amit Shah is in poll bound Karnataka and touring costal districts of Karnataka which is crucial for the party. The party is banking on  Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah to make Congress mukth Karnataka.

After visiting a temple at Kukkesubrmanya near Mangaluru from where he began his three day election campaign for upcoming Assembly polls, Amit Shah said BJP will form full-majority Government in Tripura.

Addressing Nava Shakti Samavesh of party workers at Kulkunda in Subrahmanya after visiting the temple, he said that the party did not have even a presence earlier, and only one candidate was able to retain his deposit earlier. “When you watch the results of Tripura (Assembly election) on March 3, it will be a full majority BJP Government,” he said.

Highlighting the reasons behind this, he said one is the popularity of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, and the second one is the power of booth-level party worker.’Based on this action plan, the party has won Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Himalaya, and next win will be Tripura. The victory was impossible in some of these places” he said.

He said Karnataka has had a good organisation structure since very long. He urged the Nava Shakti workers (nine workers from each booth level) should take this action plan as their ‘Bhagavad Gita’, to do their booth-level planning. “Don’t fight the election at constituency level, but fight it at booth level. You will be winning,” he said.

Amit Shah too, just the day after Prime Minister blasted ruling congress Government in Karnataka led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Mysuru, called Siddaramaiah Government as  most corrupt Government.

“This Government, of all the Governments so far, is the most corrupt Government. People of Karnataka are being subjected to murder, mafia raj and corruption. People should get independence from goonda governance to good governance under BS Yeddyurappa,”  he said.

Referring to the latest incident of Mohammed Harris Nalpad, the  son of NA Harris, an MlA from Shanthingar in  Bengaluru MlA, who indulged in a brawl and beat up a person, Shah said the complaint was not taken up in spite of the attack on the victim. It is not just because the accused is the son of  an MlA. It is because of the vote bank politics of his Government, he added.

To a recent demand of Siddaramaiah to give details on the funds released by the Centre for the developmental works in Karnataka, Shah said Karnataka had got Rs 88,583 crore assistance from the Centre during the UPA Government and 13th Finance Commission.

Shah said  Modi Government has given Rs 2,19,506 crore, which is Rs 1,30,000 crore more than the previous one. He asked Siddaramaiah where did Rs 1,30,000 crore go, and said it was used for the corruption of Congress ministers. He urged the Navashakti members to uproot the Siddaramaiah Government in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State.

Amit Shah also visited the family of BJP worker Deepak Rao, who was murdered last month. The saffron party believes that Amit Shah’s rigours campaign in coastal districts would change the political equations. The three costal districts have witnessed pre poll violence which has made these districts communally sensitive.

Shah said in four years, more than 22 BJP and RSS workers were brutally murdered in Karnataka and no action was taken against the culprits. “ We have never witnessed such an  ideological and political victimisation ever” , he added.

Addressing the students at a college near Mangaluru  he said Youth of Karnataka needs to come forward to prevent forming a Government that believes in vote bank and politics of appeasement.

He said “If Siddaramaiah thinks politics of appeasement will be successful, he’s wrong. Appeasement & polarisation here reflects in an example where son of MlA Haris thrashed a man but there was no FIR. WhyIJ Not only because  he’s Haris’s son but because  it involves appeasement of groups”.

“This is an election not only related to the State but the interests of the entire nation. In this election a Government will come in Karnataka which will open doors to the South for us,” he added.
