Under pressure from the MNS and Shiv Sena-BJP alliance both of which are opposing the levy of toll at various plazas across the State, the Maharashtra Government will discuss threadbare the issue at a weekly Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
Taking serious cognisance of the acts of vandalism indulged in by the MNS workers against the toll plazas across the State during the past few days, the State Cabinet will — at the meeting — deliberate on the need for framing a new toll policy. “The State Cabinet will study if it can put in place a new toll policy framework in the State,” a senior bureaucrat said.
