Expressing the State Government’s intent to eliminate drug related activities in the State, Jadeja said that the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad and Special Operations Group are using private intelligence across educational institutions to track drugs, weeds or any injections.
He was speaking in the context of recent cases of weed and other drugs caught by police. The police have seized weed from college campuses in Ahmedabad and Gandhingar. Similarly, in Jamanagar cops recently captured a consignment of heroin.
Police would carryout drive in every district against drug menace, said Gujarat’s DGP Shivanand Jha.
