Only a few days after self-proclaimed godman Srimad Sarathi and his son’s arrest by the State Crime Branch, another self-styled godman Sura Baba alias Surendra Mishra, head of the Trahi Achyuta Ashram, along with his two sons were arrested by the Commissionerate Police here on Monday on sexual harassment charges.
Police have slapped charges against the trio under Sections 341, 342, 323, 294, 506 and 34 of IPC and Section 3(I) (x) of the ST and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Besides, the Balipatna police have also registered another case (no 191/2015) against the Baba on the basis of a complaint lodged by a woman staying at Trahi Achyuta Nagar. The police on Monday morning took the Baba and his sons into custody.
