Entrepreneur in Narendra Modi came to the fore on Thursday as the BJP’s prime ministerial face shared two innovative ideas with the people of coastal Andhra to generate wealth.
Addressing an election rally at Bhimavaram town of West Godavari district on Thursday, Modi asked the people to take full advantage of the brackish water and aqua culture facilities to develop new business of ornamental fish and sea weed cultivation.Noting that the West Godavari district was renowned for fisheries, Modi said that if the fishermen were properly trained and resources were provided to them, they can bring the billions and trillions of rupees worth business of ornamental fish to Seemandhra.
“You are endowed with the wealth of brackish water. The latest research in the pharmaceutical sector shows the importance of vitamin B-12 which can be extracted from the sea weed. If women in fishing community get in to billion and trillion rupees business of sea weed cultivation, every household will have an additional source of income.”On the problems faced by the fishermen and fisheries sector because of the environmental conservation act implementation in Kolleru lake area, Modi said that after coming to power his Government would try to find a solution by talking to the local people.
