A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a sleeper bus when she was on her way to Auraiya along with her family, police said on Tuesday.
Based on a complaint lodged by the girl's mother, a case was registered against two people at Shikohabad police station on Tuesday morning and the main accused, Ashu, was arrested.
The girl had boarded the bus with her family from Badarpur at 11 pm on Monday.
According to the complaint, the girl's family got down from the bus, along with other passengers, when it had stopped midway later in the night. At that time, Ashu, an associate of the bus conductor, allegedly raped the minor on the upper berth.
