Questioning the silence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi over her son-in law Robert Vadra’s sudden increase in income, former BJP president Nitin Gadkari said that her silence proves that she was aware about his wrong doings.
“Daal me kuch kala to hai (There is something fishy in the deal),” he said while adding that none of the Gandhi family including Sonia, Rahul or even Priyanka have contradicted the charges made against Robert. Sonia Gandhi has not said that her son-in-law is innocent so far,” he said while addressing reporters here on Monday.
He said that if the charges are wrong against Robert, why the Gandhi family is not moving a defamation suit against the BJP and its leaders.
The former BJP president who campaigned in Amethi and Raebareli said that the backwardness in Amethi was an eye-opener to everyone.” There is no proper drinking water facilities, roads,and even no electricity. How can anyone expect a Nehru-Gandhi family region being such backward,”he questioned.
Refusing to comment anything on Baba Ramdev over his reported statement on Rahul Gandhi’s honeymoon in dalit village, he said: “I will only comment on the statements of any political leader not of any religious guru.”
He also termed that Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and the Congress are multi-communal party and people will teach them a good lesson this time.
