Frozen Baba row: son files plea in HC against Dec 1 order

Published on:

Dalip Kumar Jha, who claims to be Ashutosh Maharaj’s son, on Monday filed an appeal in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against its order of December 1. In his appeal, Jha has claimed that his application for DNA test to establish paternity has been “wrongly decided”.

He also argued that the stamps, dating back to 1999, on registered letters proved that those were sent by Ashutosh Maharaj indeed and were not forged. Justice MMS Bedi, on December 1, had ruled that Ashutosh Maharaj’s ‘son’ Jha and ‘driver’ Puran Singh were not having locus standi or the right to be heard in court for claiming the “right for possession of the property in the body”.
