Fresh twist has emerged in the Sunanda Pushkar’s death case which showed the death scene might have been tampered to mislead the investigation.
A private news channel on Monday aired tapes of a conversation to claim that Sunanda’s body might have been moved from room number 307 to 345 of leela hotel.
It also tried to give the impression that Sunanda’s husband and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has tried to suppress the truth about his wife’s death.
Sunanda (51) was found dead in room of a five-star hotel leela situated in south Delhi on the night of January 17, 2014.
Reacting to the expose, Tharoor termed the reports as “misrepresentations and outright lies”.
“Exasperating farrago of distortions, misrepresentations and outright lies being broadcast by an unprincipled showman masquerading as a journalist,” Tharoor said in a Facebook post.
“I am angered that someone would exploit a human tragedy for personal gain and TRPs. I challenge him to prove his false claims in a court of law,” he said.
