Second successive infiltration bid was foiled by the alert BSF jawans along the International Border in Jammu frontier late Sunday night. According to official sources, a heavily armed group of at least four-five infiltrators came close to the International Border in Hiranagar sector late on Sunday night waiting for an opportunity to infiltrate inside the Indian territory.
latest intelligence reports also suggested the militant handlers have instructed the militant commanders to sneak inside the Indian territory to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in Jammu region as well by targeting the ongoing Amarnath yatra. Confirming the reports of fresh infiltration bids in the Hiranagar sector BSF spokesman in Jammu issued a statement claiming, “BSF foiled an infiltration bid from Pakistan side in Hiranagar Sector late sunday night.”
According to the spokesman, “a group of 4-5 militants approached the international border and waited for appropriate opportunity to cross over. Aggressive domination by BSF troops made them retreated back under protection of Pak forces," he added.
