A four-year-old boy died while seven people were injured after an under construction house collapsed in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh area on Thursday evening. The boy identified as Anshul was trapped under the debris. He received injuries in his head and chest.
Seven labours, including three women, were also trapped under the debris, while working on the first floor of the house being constructed at Samaspur locality. After being informed by residents, police and officials from the Delhi Fire Service reached the spot and extricated the injured from the debris. They were rushed to a nearby hospital. The boy was declared brought dead.
Till the filing of the report the injured were recuperating. Police said contractor Hari Kishan is on run after the incident.
