Four members of a family, including a teenager, were killed while a three-year-old was critically injured in a road accident on Yamuna Expressway on Monday morning.
The victims were residents of Swaroop Nagar in Delhi. They were coming from Agra when they met with the accident. The victims suffered grievous injuries and were taken to the Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida where four were declared brought dead while condition of the fifth was stated to be critical.
According to police, the accident took place around 7 am between Tappal and Jewar toll plaza on Agra-Greater Noida carriageway when a speeding Innova car hit the Victims’ Swift Dezire car. The Swift car turned turtle several times and fell on the service lane.
The impact of the accident was so massive that most parts of the car were damaged and the rescue team had to use gas cutters to evacuate the victims who were identified as Rajesh Sripath (35), Neelam (28), Ayush (3) and Subhash Shripath (30).
