At least two Chinese Nationals said to be senior executive of a mobile phone company were arrested here for possessing or consuming liquor at a private guesthouse.
Police raided the guesthouse at the orders of Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj on Sunday late evening where nine Chinese executives of Oppo mobile company we’re staying. Two of the nine Chinese are women.
The police seized liquor bottles from two rooms. One of the senior executive from whose room liquor was seized had proceeded to Bhagalpur.
After the imposition of total prohibition in Bihar over two years back this is the first time that foreigners have been arrested under the excise and prohibition act.
They happened to be executives of a Chinese company.
