In a stinging reply to his critics, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday said that the BJP's ‘Nation First' philosophy meant obeying the Prime Minister's instructions. While speaking at a function held in the port-town of Vasco in South Goa, held to mark the three-year anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance in New Delhi, the former Defence Minister also said that his return to State politics was not an aberration of the ‘Nation First' dictum. “When I came back from Delhi, some people thought, if it's nation first then how did the Defence Minister come hereIJ Nation first means Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is one who thinks about the nation. We are his supporters, who assist him,” Parrikar said at the function.
