Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has asked Central Public Works Department (CPWD) to focus on innovation and efficient delivery of services to remain relevant.
Addressing an event on the 163rd anniversary of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the Housing and Urban Affairs Minister reminded it of the challenges ahead and the need for focusing on innovation to retain its primacy. The CPWD has an employee strength of 27,318.The Ministry has recently commissioned a study to consider various options to improve efficiency of service delivery and manpower utilisation.
