Flaws in 181 helpline, admits Delhi Govt

The Delhi Government has admitted that there are flaws in the functioning of the much hyped 181 women’s distress helpline and said that measures are being taken to address them.

According to Ashwini Kumar, Secretary of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare department, “the department is going to revamp the 181 women’s distress helpline as at present there are few gaps in its functioning which need to be addressed to make it more effective.”
