At least five civilians including a minor and woman were injured in fresh incident of ceasefire violation in Shahpur Kerni area of Poonch late Sunday evening.
According to reports Pak army initiated ‘unprovoked’ firing on forward Indian posts and civilian areas of Shahpur kerni in Poonch around 6.00 p.m.
Pak army also targeted civilian areas by lobbing mortar shells in which five civilians received splinter injuries.
The local police and villagers struggled hard to shift the injured to the nearby hospital in Poonch.
Till late evening only two injured were rushed to the hospital amid intermittent exchange of firing. Defence Spokesman was not available for comments.
