Seeking to end the tension on Indo-Pak border, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the martyrs’s families who laid down their lives while protecting the frontiers of the country in Jammu and Kashmir.
A former Defence Minister during the United Front Governments of HD Devegowda and IK Gujaral, Mulayam said “PM should find a middle path to de-escalate the tension along the line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.”
“War is no solution to the dispute and I am against a war with Pakistan. But at the same time, the martyrdom of Indian Army BSF jawans on the border and skirmishes are also not acceptable. Hence, the PM should attempt to find a middle path for peace to prevail on the international borders,’’ said the SP chief.
Yadav made these comments before flagging off the Samajwadi Vikas Rath Yatra led by CMAkhilesh Yadav.
Paying his respect to the martyrs, who laid down their lives recently along the line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, Yadav said, “Indian Army is one of the best armies in the world and I bow to the parents who gave birth to these brave jawans who did not hesitate to sacrifice their lives on the line of duty,.’
