With bad times behind her, 65-year-old former editor of a popular women’s magazine Sunita Naik is a relieved person today. Having lived on a Mumbai pavement for more than two months, she has found a shelter in the Vile Parle residence of Samaritan Catholic couple, George Misquita and his wife Catherine, who have offered to take care of her.
Sunita, who once edited Marathi Grihalaxmi and led a good life in the metropolis, fell on hard times and was found living on the pavement of the Sachkand Gurudwara at Versova in Mumbai, by a local newspaper. After coming to know of her plight from the media, Misquitas came to her rescue.
