The Fourth cut-off list of the Delhi University provided a ray of hope to many aspirants on Monday as the colleges had admissions open for many sought-after courses. While some of the prominent colleges capped the admissions after the second and third cut-off lists, some courses were still open.

At the Kirori Mal College, the fourth cut-off list drew a maximum of 32 admissions in BCom (Hons), following which was Botany with 15 admissions, Physics with 10 and English with nine. "We will come with a fifth cut-off list in another four to five days; seats are filled in some courses for the general category students, for which admissions might have to be closed. These include BCom, Physics and Botany. However, seats are vacant for reserved category students and there will be a fifth cut-off list for English, Economics, Mathematics and History," said SP Gupta, Principal of the college.

At Ram lal Anand College, the admissions for Geology are still open. "We still have seats left in many courses under the reserved categories. However, admissions in the general category are over," said VK Kawatra, Principal Hansraj College. Over hundred students have taken admission in Hansraj College on Monday.

Meanwhile, most of the colleges in South Campus, like Swami Shraddhanand College, Gargi College and Sri Aurobindo College, have closed admissions to all courses. At lady Shri Ram College for Women (lSR), fourth cut-off was set at 94.25 per cent for History and the seats have also filled. "We are done with admission to all courses, except the reserved category. History (Hons) is also full after the fourth list. There won't be any fifth cut-off list from our college. However, there is vacancy for the reserved category across some courses for which a notification would be released in a day. For BTech in Psychological Sciences, the reserved category is also closed," said Kanica Khandelwal, media coordinator of the college.

At Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), the admissions for both of its honours courses were closed after the second cut-off list. The admission to Economics (Hons) was closed at 68 for a sanctioned number of 64 and Commerce (Hons) was closed after admitting a total of 274 candidates over a sanctioned strength of 250.
