It was not just the commercial, business and educational establishments but even the religious institutions were also affected by Tuesday’s intensive survey in Telangana.
All the major temples, which are full of the pilgrims every day were deserted as people preferred to stay at home for the intensive household survey. The famous temples at Yadigirigutta, Chilkur, Vemulavada and Dharampuri, and Saraswati temple at Basar were all deserted as not many people turned up on Tuesday.Except the morning services by the Pandits, no activity was seen at the temple. Consequently, the collection of contribution and gifts from the pilgrims was also very low.
