Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehboobs Mufti has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate investigating cases under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act , 2002 (15 of 2003).
The summons have been issued by the officer of the rank of Assistant Director probing the matter.
According to the summons, “Mehbooba Mufti has been directed to appear before the officer on March 15 in New Delhi at 11.30 a.m along with the documents.
Reacting to the developments PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti late Friday evening tweeted, “ GOIs tactics to intimidate & browbeat political opponents to make them toe their line has become tediously predictable.They don’t want us to raise questions about its punitive actions & policies. Such short sighted scheming wont work”.
