ED issues Narada notices to Didi's 2 trusted Ministers

Multiplying Trinamool Congress’ Narada woes, the Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday issued summons to two of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s most trusted Ministers — Firhad Hakim and Suvendu Adhikary — in connection to the Narada pay off case, sources said.

Notices were e-mailed to the two leaders purportedly most powerful in the Bengal ruling outfit after the Chief Minister in so far as their organisatinal prowess was concerned. Adhikary, a former East Midnapore MP and son of former Union Minister Sisir Adhikary apart from being Mamata’s Nandigram spearhead during the movement days, could not be contacted for his comments.

But Hakim said he would not comment on the issue until he received the notice. “I have not received any notice as of now,” he said. In a stepped up action both the CBI and the ED had in the past fortnight or so summoned or interrogated some top Trinamool leaders including Subroto Mukherjee, Sultan Ahmed, Kakoli Ghoshdastidar, Saugato Roy and others in connection with the Narada case.
