Taking a serious note of the raid carried out by an election Expenditure Observer at the house of an Assam Minister, the Election Commission of India has withdrawn the Expenditure Observer from the constituency and instructed the controlling authority to initiate suitable departmental action against him.
A statement issued by the director of the Commission, Dhirendra Ojha said this on Friday while adding that the expenditure observer has transgressed his jurisdiction by reaching at the spot himself and acted against instructions of the Election Commission.
