The pangs of power cuts are here and the residents of East Delhi are among the first ones facing severe outages. Residents of the Trans Yamuna region now have to bear the brunt of transmission constraints among various power utilities as a 220 KV Badarpur-Noida-Ghazipur transmission line has been on out of operation ever since May 1.Areas such as Kondli, Dallupura, Ghazipur, Vivek Vihar, Nand Nagari, Yamuna Vihar, and Mayur Vihar might face prolonged power cuts. There is going to be not much relief to the residents of these areas as the snag coupled with overloading of the 220KV Mandola-South of Wazirabad-Patparganj transmission line will take nearly three weeks to get operational.
