A photograph of Delhi University Students’ Union president Amit Tanwar and few others, showing them ‘posing’ with guns on the varsity premises, surfaced on social media today, kicking up a row. NSUI demanded a probe into the matter involving Tanwar, who represents ABVP.
University authorities, however, refused to comment. The pictures were alleged to be from a ‘memorial service’ for Tanwar’s brother, organised in the DUSU office. Tanwar claimed the guns belonged to “security officers” of one of the guests who had come to pay homage to his “social activist” brother Pradeep.
