Students and parents thronged in large numbers on the last day of the ‘Open Days’, the pre-admission interactive session at the Delhi University on Thursday. As the admission across the Delhi University colleges to the newly introduced Four-Year Undergraguate Programme begins from June 5, the university wound up the open days on Thursday. Students thronged in large numbers to clear the queries on FYUP.

“Around 800 students were present and their main queries were related to the admissions process. Earlier, there were questions on the FYUP and the changes across colleges but now as the CBSE results have come out everyone is focusing on the admission process,” said Sangit Ragi, the Deputy Dean of the university.

The Open Day session was going inside the Conference Centre of the University, a number of students protested outside the hall against implementation of FYUP.

The protesting teachers were holding banners alleging that the FYUP is flawed and will dilute the academic constituent of higher education. They also distributed pamphlets based on several such allegations to students and parents. JM Khurrana, Dean of Students Welfare said the students must keep checking our website and also read newspaper till the bulletin of information is out.
