In yet another drunken driving accident in the city, an inebriated driver was caught on camera, when his vehicle crashed with a radio taxi parked on the road, due to which the cab rammed into the railings of the Hanuman Temple at Mandir Marg in New Delhi district, last night.

However, both the drivers sustained minor injuries and eye-witnesses said that the driver of the crashing car —a Hyundai Verna was drunk.

Verna's driver Prabhu Kumar (23) was arrested on charges of attempt to commit culpable homicide under Section 308 of IPC.

Police said that liquor bottles were also found inside the vehicle. "The errant driver has been arrested. He has also been challaned for drunken driving," said Additional Commisioner of Police (New Delhi) S B S Tyagi.

He further said, the entire incident was captured in CCTV cameras installed near the temple premises. 'Also after the preliminary search, alcohol and some snacks were recovered from the damaged Verna and the inebriated driver was arrested immediately,' said a police official.

In another incident, a drunken man ran over his SUV on three persons in south-east Delhi's Jaitpur area here this evening.
