In renewed activity in the cash-for-vote scam case, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday issued a notice to Kondal Reddy, the driver of Nara lokesh, son of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. A team of ACB officials on Wednesday visited the Telugu Desam Party office as well as his residence to hand over the notice to Kondal Reddy.

The ACB has asked him to appear at its office on Thursday for giving his statement in connection with the cash-for-vote scam. ACB sources said that the notice was issued after the driver’s name figured during the questioning of other suspects in the case. ACB has already filed a chargesheet in the court naming Telugu Desam MlA  Revanth Reddy as the prime accused. He was caught along with two others while allegedly paying a bribe of Rs50 lakh to a nominated member of Telangana Assembly Elvish Stephenson to secure his vote for a TDP candidate in the State legislative council elections on May 31.

The ACB has also questioned another TDP candidate Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, TDP candidate in council elections Vem Narayana Reddy and many others. Name of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also figured during the investigation as a audio recording of a purported telephonic conversation between Naidu and the nominated MlA made its way to some TV networks.
