Drive against attack on TN leaders launched

National Hindu Movement, an umbrella organisation representing various Hindu factions, launched a signature campaign on Sunday against the unabated attacks on Hindu activists and leaders in Tamil Nadu and the indifferent attitude of the State Police in nabbing the murderers.

“This is a phenomenon not confined to Tamil Nadu alone. All over the country where the Congress and the pseudo secularists are in power, Hindu leaders and activists are selectively targeted by Islamic and Christian fundamentalists. We will protest against these selective targeting of

Hindu activists,” Ramesh Shinde, national convener, NHM, told The Pioneer.

He said efforts were on to draw a common action plan for uniting Hindus all over India for facilitating the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra. “By Hindu Rashtra, we mean a nation where all religions get equal respect and no one is targeted because of the religion or caste to which he or she belongs. But we do

not envisage any kind of appeasement in the Hindu Nation,” he said.

According to Shinde, it has been decided to stage nationwide protest on first Sunday of every month to bring to the attention of the people the atrocities committed against Hindus.

This Sunday saw the launching of a signature campaign in Tamil Nadu which witnessed gruesome murders of more than 12 Hindu activists/leaders during

the last one year.
