BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Friday spoke to “sulking” Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is believed to be contemplating quitting politics after been “marginalised” in the party. Singh is understood to have told Sidhu not to take ‘any decision in haste’.
“Singh has asked the party MP to meet him whenever he is in the national capital to discuss issues troubling him,” BJP sources said.
The Amritsar MP will meet Singh in the capital after the ongoing IPl cricket tournament gets over, they said. Sidhu was not available for comments as he is busy with his commitments in the IPl season.
The cricketer-turned-politician has been sulking for quite some time and the matter precipitated after he was dropped as national secretary in the new list of office bearers. Sidhu is also reportedly looking to contest the next election from the national capital.
